In most shops the estimate lives in Excel, the budget lives in accounting software, and the schedule of values lives in a template someone emailed around in 2019. Every handoff between them is a chance for the numbers to drift — and month-end is where you find out they did.

Yes. Takeoffs and estimates are organized by CSI divisions and sections, so your estimate reads the way plans, specs and subcontractor quotes already do.

Can I compare bid scenarios?

Yes — build multiple pricing scenarios on the same takeoff (different margins, alternates, sub quotes) and compare them side by side before you submit.

Does the estimate connect to job cost and pay apps?

That's the point of the platform: a won estimate becomes the project budget and schedule of values, timecards burn against it, and the G702/G703 pay application bills from it. One number, carried through.
